Mission statement/description
The Visitation, a contemplative order, was founded by St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal "to give to God daughters of prayer, and souls so interior that they may be found worthy to serve His infinite majesty and to adore Him in spirit and in truth." Prayer is primary in the life of these sisters. They also offer limited retreats, and seek to make known and loved the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They honor Our Lady in the mystery of her visitation. |
