About Us
Mission statement/description
This order of Poor Clares is an institute of the contemplative life directed in a special way for the praise and worship of God. It strives to give witness to Christ praying on the mountain and to share in the most universal way the hardships, miseries and hopes of all mankind. The sisters live a life of prayer, in the spirit of the Franciscan St. Clare.
Qualifications for entry
Good physical and mental health; sufficient personal maturity, particularly psychological and emotional.
Formation program
All formation of the nuns is done at the monastery. Formation progresses from postulancy to novitiate, to temporary profession, and then to permanent profession. The entire formation program lasts from five and one-half to six years.
