Mission statement/description
The Poor Clares are a cloistered, contemplative order, seeking union with God through a life of prayer and sacrifice, in the spirit of St. Clare, to whom St. Francis was mentor and guide. |
Qualifications for entry
Mature, generous, cheerful, prudent, spirit of sacrifice; good mental and physical health; hard worker, and works well with others. |
Formation program
One year postulancy; two years novitiate; three years in juniorate (temporary profession); entire formation program is carried out in the monastery. |
