Mission statement/description
These sisters are Poor Clare Colettine cloistered contemplatives - called to a life of praise and adoration of God and prayer and penance on behalf of the Church and the world, in the spirit of the Franciscan St. Clare. They foster a joyful community of charity, prayer, penance and they work with the sisters the Lord gives them. Their monastic family is comprised of both cloistered and extern sisters. They are devoted to their enclosed, Eucharistic, Gospel form of life as they strive to imitate Jesus poor, chaste and obedient. While the order, originally founded in 1212, is international in scope, each community is autonomous.
