Mission statement/description
Discalced Carmelite nuns seek union with God by a consecrated life of prayer and self-sacrifice, striving to live the evangelical counsels as perfectly as possible in the spirit of their foundress, Sts. Teresa of Avila, and John of the Cross. Carmelites aid the mission of the Church by offering this contemplative form of religious life especially for priests and missionaries, as well as for the salvation of souls. The Morristown Carmel gives special attention to priests and all those who teach the Catholic faith. |
